Oatmeal Protein Cakes

We live in Busyland (at least out here in Silicon Valley) and all my clients are looking for easy snacks they can make on the weekend and grab and go. I have tried several recipes and just couldn’t seem to find one that stuck to my ribs and tasted great….until now! Introducing Oatmeal Protein Cakes

These oatmeal protein cakes are perfect for packing on the muscle and simple to make.

The first step is to mix 1 cup rolled oats (NOT the instant kind) and 1 cup egg whites (or whole eggs if not trying to cut calories). Let sit overnight or until liquid is absorbed.

Next add a scoop of this AMAZING protein powder…..

Spray griddle with coconut oil and using 1/4 cup measuring cup, drop onto griddle and spread into 4 even circles.

Cook until edges look done and flip. These cook quickly….so don’t burn.

When finished, cool and separate into two servings. Each serving will give you a whopping 26 grams of protein!

Oatmeal ProteinCakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 1 scoop whey protein
  • coconut oil spray

Instructions

  1. Mix oats and egg whites together and let sit in refer overnight or until liquid is absorbed by oats.
  2. Add a scoop of whey protein powder and mix well.
  3. Spray griddle with coconut oil.
  4. Using 1/4 cup measuring device, scoop batter into 4 pancakes. Cook until edges are done and flip over.
  5. Let cool and then store into 2 portions.
